Politics Heating up at Muncie Free Press

I've been posting press releases from the three major political parties (yes, I like to include the Libertarians) at Muncie Free Press for a while now. Things are heating up in October, though. Rex Bell, a Libertarian running for office has signed up for the site and posted his first comment, asking a question about one of the releases. I'm hoping things get interesting and people begin to really use Muncie Free Press. I still have hope.

Also recently, I shared some numbers with the MFP audience, about where some of the visitors from Indiana were coming. This story ended up having a troll using the name of someone who works for The Star Press (the attempt has since been figured out and removed from the site.) This may be the first troll we've had. Does that mean something? ;)

We've had spammers for a while now, but their attempts are futile too.

Are things where they should be with the site? Who's to say where it should be when this is all so new, when Muncie Free Press, along with a lot of other sites, is adapting and changing to the wants and needs of the public at the hyper local level in real time.

And Lisa Williams, I haven't forgotten about you! I'll get ahold of you soon.

kpaul out...

also interesting to note

sanders for congress is running ads via google. not sure if they're CPC or CPM, though. or, for that matter, what i'm getting paid for them. heh. maybe us hyper local news people should band together and form some sort of ad network. heh. too many ideas, too little time...
