Muncie Free Press Needs the French?
Submitted by kpaul.mallasch on Wed, 04/26/2006 - 2:59am.I've been thinking a lot lately about Muncie Free Press' birthday coming up this July 4th and the whole Declaration of Independence from Big Media thing I came up with last year. If I further that thought and Muncie Free Press is like America (in a way - her good qualities) we're at the juncture of the revolution that we need the French to come in and loan/lend/give us equipment. We don't need a fleet of ships, but we do need equipment. So, if you want to act like the French when they helped a fledging America out, check out my Amazon Wishlist!
Yes, a few expensive items on there, but some that are less expensive too (like reporter's notebooks!) They're all things I could use to further the cause, though. I figure there has to be some guy out there on the top of the big media food chain who likes what I'm doing and can afford to help out with some equipment.
If not, that's cool too. I just thought I'd bring it up because MFP could use the equipment to continue waging the war. Anything and everything will help at this time (even gently used cash... ;)
Speaking of the new media revolution, we also sold $70 more dollars worth of classified ads on MFP today (yesterday). Still not where I want it to be, but people are using it. This is revenue coming in that's about 95% automated.

we do need their help now, though... ;)
(also, so many people are down on the french, but they forget that in the very beginning when we were a wee lad of a nation, they 'had our back' against the brits... oh how time changes everything!)
