Google Publication Ads

I hadn't heard of Google Publication Ads before tonight, but it sounds like a pretty interesting idea. Looking into it some more, I saw Business Week mentioned it it December of last year, although C-Net has an article from last August. I wonder how well the idea's taking off and why it's not on the radar more. Did the magazines require a minimum amount per column inch? How far will the alliance go? Will Google be selling classifieds for newspapers soon?

Media Orchard posts on a screw-up by Cincinnati magazine, which falsely reported that The Kentucky Post had called a local politico the region's "go-to gay" (rather than "go-to guy") in a headline. The mag had gotten its info from an online newsletter without doing its own fact-checking. A similar incident occurred at a Nashville TV station recently, resulting in a reporter's resignation.
