Logistically Complex Tasks are Easier Online Too
Submitted by kpaul.mallasch on Fri, 04/21/2006 - 6:28pm.This is more on my pro list for doing a free weekly when we get to the print level with Muncie Free Press. The story that got me thinking about it was - Baltimore Sun carriers quit abruptly to work for Examiner (Thanks to Romenesko for the refer...)
Also, I'm looking at maps (Google maps) and where I am now, Elwood, IN - I'm centrally located in between Kokomo, Marion, Muncie, Anderson and all the towns in between. It's a nice central point. I'm still branding it Muncie Free Press for the moment, but I'm looking at more than one city, more than one county, at this point. More people equals more opportunities for them to become involved and add the content. It's my job to proof, edit and label that content as it comes in...
Just some Friday night thoughts as I begin loading 30+ classified listings into Muncie Free Press. I want to get them up there before I start hitting the car shows. The next step is training the lot dealer to keep his inventory updated online. Gotta make it web 2.0 simple, I think.
Lots going on, but it's fun, ya know?
Speaking of the new media revolution, check out Colorado Beer News a new, niche, independent new media site.
Have a great weekend, folks. I'll be stopping in here and there to comment if anyone wants to chat. ;)
