You know, Lauren Graham would make a good actress for the role of Hildy in the 1940 version of His Girl Friday. She has that fast paced wit/banter down from doing Gilmore Girls for so many years.

As for the script, you could change telegraph to email, etc. Modernize it and resurrect it once again. I like this version the best probably, with the reporter as female. There are quite a few different versions, if you didn't know.
