Indy Star: We're Sorry

Indy Star: We're Very, Very Sorry
The fact they have their archives behind a wall and the Indiana Grassroots Journalism Network doesn't will mean a lot more in a few years as the long tail grows. Hopefully they'll stick to their guns...
The link to the 404'd page came from Topix.net of all places.
Speaking of Topix.net (and I should prolly be quiet about this?), I was accepted as an 'Editor' for Topix/Muncie. I was kinda surprised no one from The Star Press was already running that. Then I thought about big media and how they find it hard to get different operations running together well. (Don't get me started on the 'DPC' and their hosting...)
It's good for me, though. The 'robots' they have publishing to the Muncie front on the site isn't that good. It grabs about 98% of stories from The Star Press. I hope to do a better job.
I was more interested in seeing how their system works, though. It's pretty slick, as is a lot of stuff coming from the Topix.net crew. If Gannett was smart, they'd be doing a lot more with that little acquisition. (Anyone know off-hand which newspapers own what when it comes to Topix?)
Anyway, back to work...
