On Civil Conversations in Citizen Media

If you have a chance, check out this ed/op piece on Muncie Free Press. Long story short, a reader pointed out a small, grassroots newsletter being published by a local newspaper forum celebrity. I contacted him and asked to reprint some of it. He agreed.

The first post spurred a lot of conversation. Some really insightful thoughts about anonymity and online communities. I highly recommend taking a look if you're interested at all in the citizen media movement.

On a sidenote, launched (soft - as in no money spent on advertising) EastCentralIndiana.com. I think I am going to aggregate classifieds and events for the region there. Still tinkering...
