Citizens Breaking News in Elwood, Indiana

This is a few days old. I missed it for some reason and my buddy who runs the site (Al Jordan - the Computer Dude) didn't mention it. It's big news in my eyes, though. Another example of the people formerly known as the audience reporting news. Of course, a couple people said we'll have to wait on the paper to find out what happened, but still...

This was sent to me in a myspace bulletin.Im not sure if it is true
sounds pretty true.If so I hope we can find his family or a new one.

My mom found a little boy by pizza hut this morning all alone. He
is about 3yrs of age and may be a little on the autistic side. He can't
say his name or who his parents are. The little boy is said to have
short blonde hair, was wearing grey sweatpants, shirt and wrapped in a
blanket. My mom found him covered in urine from head to toe and turned
him over to the EPD even though she would've like to have stayed with
him. They then called CPS and turned him over to them. This happend at
9am and still no one has reported this little boy missing. I don't know
if he is even from the Elwood area or if someone dropped him off
thinking the cops would find him since he was found on one of the most
populated streets in Elwood. All I know, is my mom watched several cars
slow to look at the boy but none stopped to help him except for my
mother. If anyone has any information PLEASE contact EPD at
765-552-3376. I also contacted channel 8 news so they could investagate
the story.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the parents of the missing boy
from this morning contacted EPD around noon today to report the child
as missing. My mom talked with EPD officers and they told her that they
fed him and gave him clean clothes and that CPS is now handling the
investigation. As of right now I don't know anymore details as to who
this child belongs to. We'll just have to wait and see if there is a
story in the newspaper or on channel 8.
