Citizen Publisher Turns off Anonymous Comments

Al Jordan, who runs ElwoodIndiana.org, recently decided to turn off anonymous comments on his site. He approved each and every one before it went on the site. A few months ago, participation *really* took off on the site. Sadly, it was a very tragic event in the community that served as the springboard, but it's still pretty cool.

He also asks for help from the local community (something I've done a couple times now. ;) and from what I hear, has gotten several volunteers and at least one monetary donation.

Best of luck to 'the computer dude' - who has no formal journalism training but does a good job of keeping the city of 5,000 households informed.
