Got the D80 in the mail today! Yay. Thanks again to Nikon (and MWW group) for this program. Was kinda overcast today, and I was walking around downtown testing out the camera. On my way back, I caught two fire trucks and an ambulance coming out of the station. I ran to the back of the building, jumped in Bessie and was off to take pics.

Eventually found the fire (Elwood is a small town ;) and parked a block away on a side street. I then strode up proudly carrying the Nikon. Told the first officer I saw who I was and that I was with ElwoodIndiana.org (didn't want to confuse him telling him I was with Muncie Free Press.) I then proceeded to get closer to the fire, which was pretty much already contained. I think I got some good shots, though. I still have a lot to learn, but I loved being able to take more than one shot per second.
